Decentralised Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (dMVHR) are units designed to improve indoor air-quality on a room-by-room basis.
These units extract air from inside and supply fresh air, mixed through a heat exchanger. These fans are protected by filters that stop debris from coming outside in, and dust from inside entering the fans. Over time these filters will become clogged and require cleaning in-order to work efficiently.
We recommend cleaning the filters every 3/4 months and a complete replacement, alongside a service every 12 months.
Without adequate maintenance debris built up results in the unit working harder, causing fans to become noisier or fail in some instances.
